Our thoughts, Are they really ours?

In my Metaphysical studies, I have learned that our thoughts are really not ours. Thoughts are created from the Universal Mind, or God.

Once, I read something that stated, "The air we breathe is from others." This makes sense to me. We breathe in to fill our lungs, and then the air leaves our body. Once the air is released, it doesn't go away! Air is energy, it stays within our universe. Just because we can't see it, doesn't mean that it is not around. The fact that we are breathing recycled air, kind of grosses me out, but I really believe it is True. In believing this, convinces me that we are ALL connected. We are One human race breathing the same air and thinking the same thoughts.

For thousands of years Humans have been thinking. Ernest Holmes, in his book Science of the Mind states, "The First great discovery man made was that he could think." This comes from the presence of "I AM."

I apply the air example to thoughts. When we think a thought, does it go away? I don't believe so! Like air, the thoughts remain. It is energy too! If I think of something and it goes away from my mind, it doesn't leave, it remains in the Universe.

Some have heard the saying "Change your thoughts and you will change your world!" How does this work? Do my thoughts really create me world? I have learned in my life that when I concentrate on particular thoughts, they come to existence. For example, when I concentrate and think about what I don't have, that really happens. I create my reality by thoughts and nothing really happens, and I continue to not have. One of my teachers explained to us in class, if you close your eyes and think of a color, for example, green, and you say this to yourself over and over I see green, and then you open your eyes, chances are the color that will stick out to you is Green.

The Universe, or our world is Abundant. We have all we need to create the life we want. The thoughts are there waiting for us to tap in to them, waiting for us to use them. Just like the air we breathe. In knowing this, How wonderful is it that if we think about the things we want, it will happen? What thoughts are you willing to think today?
